During clinics of extended duration, the study concepts are explored and applied to standard harmonic forms such as the blues, rhythm changes and typical progressions from the standard jazz repertoire.
For example: Freddie The Freeloader, All Blues, All The Things You Are, Bessies Blues, Rhythm Changes etc.

Two hour single session:
The concepts are laid out in lecture form with a bit of class participation. Participants will come away with a set of techniques for working with their ear training studies.

Multiple day sessions

Two to three days of lecture and activities (2 hour morning and afternoon sessions) in which participants will be able to explore and apply the concepts [vocally & instrumentally] in more depth to specific repertoire. They will benefit from having their initial attempts with the concepts corrected and honed to their specific needs.

Five day week of morning and afternoon sessions.

Full application of the concepts as they relate to performance and improvisation will be employed. As a result of this concentrated work, participants will discover new physical sensitivities to notes, intervals and chords in the context of performing music. They will acquire a deeper understanding for how to go forward with their studies in musical aural perception. The week will culminate with a public concert performed by all participants.
